CrewAI
Python framework for multi-agent work where each agent has a role and goal and a crew of agents shares a list of tasks.
- Open source
- Can run on your own servers
Library for building agents as graphs of steps with saved state, pauses for human review and streaming, in Python and JavaScript.
LangGraph is an open-source library from the LangChain team for building agents as graphs. Each node is a step, such as a model call or a tool call, and edges decide what runs next, including loops back to an earlier step. The graph carries a shared state object, so every step can read and update what the agent knows so far.
Two features matter most for production work. Checkpointing saves the state after each step, which lets a run resume after a failure and lets you inspect or replay past runs. Interrupts pause a run so a person can approve, edit or reject an action before the agent continues.
It is available in Python and JavaScript and does not require the rest of LangChain. Teams use it when a simple prompt loop is not enough and they want explicit control over the order of steps. Check how you will host long-running graphs and store checkpoints before you build on it.
Not enough info yet on developer API, works with MCP. Check the tool's own site.
